HOW DO WE PERFORM YOU WINDOW TINT AT WINDOW TINTING COLORADO SPRINGS, CO?

CLEANING YOUR WINDOWS

If you can imagine your windows are required to be clean before we can perform the tint process. This prevents from bubbles forming from debris or dust formed under the foil and is essential before applying the film. We clean both the inside and outside to ensure there are no damaging dust on the surface that can cause issues for your car or even break the glass upon placing the film. If it is not properly cleaned removing all debris this is detrimental to placement and quality.

CUTTING BY HAND OR BY MACHINE

There are a lot of ways to cut and shape. Some shops now a days only use machines when cutting their merchandise. Others only by hand which may be more custom to the car you are applying your pre-cut film. Whether by hand or by machine, most important is that you find a shop that will either have the machine to fit it to your car or custom cut and apply the film to your liking. Find a shop near you and make sure that you are well informed on how they execute this service. As we state, our goal is always, performance, precision, protection. We won't allow our technicians to get anything started before you approve. We have always done so and will continue to do so.

In a machine tint film cut, the machine has encoded the exact make and model and the computer with display all the templates needed for that car so you can trust it is very good at getting it right. Just set the presets for the car and the machine will follow the instructions with the automatic cutter.

At Window Tinting Colorado Springs we don't use any special machine cuts, we customize the trim to your car's window and insure the lining and all trims are in place and secure.

SHRINKING THE FILM TO REMOVE "THE FINGERS"

Since your vehicle and windows are curved and the film produced is cut as straight as possible it requires extensive work before the plastic foil can be placed onto the windshield or glass. We do this by wetting and preparing the window before we place anything, the we heat it up the wrap to shrink and mold to the window while removing any bubbles or creases. This is very detailed and can take time but when done right you are on your way.

Get this fingers out

As we have shown we remove the fingers and place the film a top of the plastic coating begin sealing the film to the window. We heat the film so that the straightness can wrap and mold to the curvature of the car and use special tools to ensure that this is done with no bubbles or fingers.

Final Product

Keep getting them out

We use a hot gut to get these out. This is important to allow the film to expand so that it is still changeable. If you don't then they might stay stuck as fingers. We work hard at this to make sure we get this right for you.

we're the best in the industry

Top of the line quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

First- Dyed window tint film is the most common type of window tint film used in window tints we see on the road. This is made with a dye that is placed next to an adhesive on the film making it a darker shade from the outside it however allows more UV rays into the car making it slightly lower quality in protection from the sunlight. It also is less effective in increasing the car temperature since the dye absorbs the solar heat from the sunlight. Although this is advantageous initially, over time the dye can fade quickly and over time becomes less effective. However inexpensive to replace and some places will give you a lifetime warranty which can be beneficial if you ever need to get your window's tinting again if the film is fading.
